Twill vs. forged
Both are real carbon fiber. The difference is how the fibers are laid.
Twill
Woven fabric where each tow passes over two and under two, which creates the diagonal ridges. Consistent and symmetrical.
Forged
Short chopped fibers pressed in a mold. The shards land at random angles, so each piece has its own marbled look.
